Luxury holidays in Félicité Island

Ever spent a drizzly morning lamenting your lack of private tropical turf to escape to? Then get thee to the Seychelles’ Félicité Island – whether by speedboat or helicopter is up to you. One-third sense-soothing resort, two-thirds desert island, Félicité has all the white-sand beaches, sapphire waters and coconut-dangling palm trees of your Robinson Crusoe dreams. Wave goodbye to real-world worries at the spa, then skip across to neighbouring nature reserves or work up an appetite for a straight-from-the-sea dinner with a turtle-spotting snorkel.

When to go

The island is blessed with balmy tropical temperatures year-round, but aim for April to May or October to November to dodge the troublesome trade winds.

Getting there

  • Planes

Touch down at Seychelles International Airport on Mahé, then fly from there to Praslin and hop on a speedboat transfer to Félicité. Private flights between islands are also available.
  • Boats

Wherever you touch down, you’ll need a boat transfer to the island. Transfers run from Praslin Airport as well as La Digue – arranging it through your hotel will be easiest. Alternatively, the Cat Cocos ferry runs between Mahé and Praslin, where you can catch a speedboat transfer to the island.
  • Automobiles

Travel in 007-worthy style with a private helicopter transfer from Seychelles International Airport.
