Luxury holidays in Kelso
In the Scottish Borders lies Kelso, a centuries-old market town at the junction of the rivers Tweed and Teviot. Floors Castle and the mediaeval abbey are its conspicuous landmarks – indie shops, tearooms, and surrounding golf courses are among this rural area’s less-obvious charms. And not to be swept aside – the sport of curling, too, lays its claims on Kelso, which has an ice rink.
When to go
June through August bring the warmest, driest climes, while December is ideal for a leisurely wander around the market square, mulled wine in hand.
