Visit during the drier months – June to August, or December to January – for the best hiking weather; although, be aware that Nyungwe National Park is famous for its year-round rain.

Planes
Fly into Rwanda’s capital – Kigali – before catching a 40-minute domestic flight to Kamembe Airport, where you can hop into a cab for the final hour's drive to Nyungwe National Park.
Automobiles
You can drive along the region’s developed roads to reach Nyungwe; however, once you arrive, cut the engine and explore this pristine park and all its inhabitants on foot with a guided tour.
