Luxury holidays in Khomas Region
Striking scenes in ochre hues abound across the plateau of Namibia’s Khomas Region, broken only by scrubby trees beyond capital Windhoek. Seek a little more serenity and head beyond the city’s walls for a jaunt on one of the region’s safari circuits. Cruise through the highlands to gawk at the elegant gait of the Angolan giraffes and white-bellied mountain zebras or take a challenge and hike the four-day Khomas Hochland Trail.
When to go
The Khomas Region enjoys pleasant temperatures year round; December and January hit peak temperatures of 35°C with little rain, though the cooler months (from May to September) are typically better for safari sightings.
