The warmest months in Leipzig are between May and September, when temperatures average between 20 to 25°C. Autumn may be slightly cooler, but the shifting seasons provide spectacular scenes and make for a great city break.

  Fly direct into the region’s Leipzig/Halle Airport, where you can catch a 30-minute taxi straight into the city centre.

• Trains

  Deutsche Bahn trains run frequently from Germany’s major cities – including Berlin, Hamburg and Munich – to Leipzig’s main station.

• Automobiles

  Driving is easy in the city, and the airport has a number of car rentals; just double check that your rental has a green badge before driving in Leipzig as it’s in an environmental zone.
