Luxury holidays in Mara Naboisho Conservancy

Lovingly revived from its overgrazed state by over 500 local landowners, the Mara Naboisho Conservancy is a community-led patch in southwestern Kenya with abundant game to tout. Its bordering Masai Mara National Reserve rallies crowds for the Great Migration between June and September; but within its boundaries, year-round herds of elephants and prides of lions make for exceptional safari scenes with distinctly fewer visitors.

When to go

Masai Mara’s Great Migration sees over two million wildebeest cross its plains from June to September. February to May sees fewer visitors but equally strong game viewing; and October to January is best for twitchers in search of migratory birds.

  • Automobiles

Self-driving isn’t permitted in the Mara Naboisho Conservancy, but you won’t miss your wheels with guide-driven vehicles available across the conservancy’s camps.
