Luxury holidays in Kranjska Gora

Where the Julian Alps jut towards the Austrian border, the chalet-dotted mountain resort of Kranjska Gora is wrapped in Alpine scenery. This launchpad to outdoor adventures is a tale of two seasons: winter snow brings skiers to town, and during summer it’s the ramblers and cyclists that appear in numbers. Nature lovers are welcome all year round.

When to go

Kranjska Gora is a ski resort come winter, with a modest 20 kilometres of runs open between December and March. May and September are our picks for hiking and biking, when the temperatures are a little cooler and the trails quieter.
