Luxury holidays in Ischia

When to go

You’ll want to be on sunny terraces a lot, so book your trip from May to September, when the alfresco living is easy.

Getting there

  • Planes

You’ll need to fly into Naples then hop on the ferry from Molo Beverello.
  • Boats

You can board the ferry or hydrofoil from Naples to Ischia (a journey from 60–90 minutes), which pass Vesuvius and sometimes stop off at Procida island along the way. They make stops at Ischia, Casamicciola or Forio ports.
  • Trains

Napoli Centrale is well connected throughout the country, but you’ll still need to hop on a boat when you disembark the train.
  • Automobiles

Ischia’s large enough to warrant hiring a car (or Vespa or Piaggio Ape), but you don’t really need one if you’re staying close to a town.
