Seine-et-Marne is at its sunniest during the summer months and, unlike some of its more southerly sister regions, doesn’t suffer from overcrowding, making June to September an excellent time to visit.

Planes
Paris’ Charles –de Gaulle and Orly airports are the closest international hubs to Seine-et-Marne.
Trains
Mainline services from Paris’ Gare de Lyon and Gare de l'Est call at various stations across the department. Some parts of Seine-et-Marne, such as Melun and Marne-la-Vallée, are reachable by RER, too.
Automobiles
A car will come in handy for exploring this bucolic corner of France. To reach Seine-et-Marne by road, several autoroutes serve the department, including the A4, A5 and A6.
