Luxury holidays in La Croix-Valmer

La Croix-Valmer is an all-natural playground in the south of France, close to the Côte d'Azur’s starriest hotspots (Cannes, St Tropez…). There are sandy beaches lapped by warm and swimmable turquoise waters, leafy trails through the Massif de Maures mountains, and lashings of rosé.

When to go

June to August are La Croix-Valmer’s busiest months and can be a little too hot for hearty outdoor adventuring. Try for late spring and autumn to commune with nature in peace.

Getting there

  • Planes

Fly to Nice Airport, a 90-minute drive from the commune; or land at Marseille a little further along the coast (around a two-hour drive).
  • Trains

Trains frequently run back and forth from Nice to SNCF station St Raphaël-Valescure, a 50-minute drive away.
  • Automobiles

This is a fresh-air and outdoorsy-fun destination, but a car is handy for cruising along the coast. Pick one up at either Nice or Marseille airports.
