Luxury holidays in Elqui Valley

Coldplay’s ‘A Sky Full of Stars’ could have been written about Elqui Valley, a cosmic corner of northern Chile. Pisco may flow freely in this region, but a different kind of nightlife thrives here – ink-black skies and otherworldly observatories make for some of the world’s best stargazing. And it’s not just about the nocturnal in Elqui Valley – by day this verdant landscape of vineyards serves up wine tastings, distillery tours and archeological sites.

When to go

Elqui Valley has year-round sunshine and balmy temperatures, but visits between March and May are free of summer crowds and replete with wine-centric festivals.
