  The allure of the open road beckons in this vast Californian terrain. If route 66 isn’t enough to tempt you into the driving seat, there’s a number of off-road trails and scenic mountain routes to get stuck into. For these more challenging jaunts, however, you’ll want to hire a 4x4 to navigate dirt roads and gravel paths with ease.
