When to go

The Delta tempts in most months: November to February sees a flurry of calving and predator activity; June to August has high water levels for boating and birdlife; September and October are warm, green and dry, with continued wildlife sightings.

Getting there

  Kasane or Maun’s international airports are the closest to the Delta; your safari hosts can arrange onward small-plane charters or helicopter transfers to your camp’s local airstrip.

  Driving is best left to your safari guides and camp hosts; the Delta is accessed mainly by air.
