When to go

Spring is best for those hoping to hike, or wander the city’s streets, when temperatures hit pleasant highs of 20°C. If you’re here for the snow, Andorra’s ski season runs from December to March.

Getting there

• Planes

  International flights will arrive into Barcelona, Girona or Perpignan, which are all a little less than three hours away by car. There’s a small, domestic airport (Andorra-La Seu d’Urgell) for arrivals from Spain that’s around a 30-minute drive from the capital.

• Automobiles

  The city has a reliable bus service that can whiz you around its streets; if you’re planning on exploring further afield, a car will serve you well. Roads can be narrow and mountainous, but you can get around Andorra in less than an hour, so even the most restless of drivers should feel at ease.
