  From Andernach’s train station, it’s a 20-minute train ride or drive to Koblenz Hbf, where Deutsche Bahn runs under-two-hour rail services to Frankfurt, Cologne, Düsseldorf, Luxembourg and Trier.

  No need for a car – the city is very walkable and buses, trains or taxis can take you further afield, should you want.
