Luxury dog-friendly hotels in Oualidia, Morocco

Sleepy seaside village Oualidia sits on a crescent cove between Morocco’s Atlantic coast and a saltwater lagoon. It was deemed the country’s first royal beach in the 1940s, by King Mohammed V, and Marrakchi holidaymakers have followed suit ever since. And we can see why – caramel-coloured sands, russet cliffs, powder-pink flamingos and bright fishing boats decorate the landscape. Oualidia’s world-class oysters are something to write home about, but the superb surf is a well-kept secret.
