A wise use of space has turned this Victorian house into five self-contained apartments, including a separate two-bedroom coach house round the back.

Pocket-sprung king-sized double beds (with pull-out options for extra guests), made-to-order furniture from the property's own carpentry firm, bathrobes, sleek satin furnishings, Egyptian cotton linens and super-plump pillows.
- Kitchen Top-of-the-range appliances and a full range of kitchenware (including some sleek plastic chopping boards and jars from Joseph & Joseph) artistically laid out on shelves in some apartments. You’ll also find Bettys tea and coffee.
- Living room Usually quite large, with fluffy carpets, two dusky pink custom-built sofas and a plasma TV. Coffee tables with a book or two (along the lines of design, photography or cookery). Local photography or artwork on the walls and bold floral-print wallpaper on some walls.
- Dining room A circular table with four chairs in a cosy corner, with glossy glass and wood surface surrounds. In the Coach House, your pyramid-like dining room has a knocked-through ceiling that spans two floors.

Eating and drinking
You can request a Bettys Hamper for breakfast (free for Smith members), containing croissants, muffins, jam and butter. A pint of milk and bottled water are supplied but you’ll need to stock up on any other provisions yourself in the town centre or en route. Weeton's on 23– 24 West Park (+44 (0) 1423 507100) is a deli-style mini-mart where you can buy Yorkshire meat, fine wines and forty types of cheese.

One visit per five-night stay; extra visits in between can be arranged for a fee.

Each apartment has plasma TVs, PlayStations (games and Blu-Ray DVDs available to hire from the main reception at mother property, the Lawrance Kings Road), iPod docking stations and Freeview channels.

Packing tips
Your bathers (as modest as possible, please) for a trip to the Turkish Baths. You can go without during single-sex sessions but if you want to bathe with Mr Smith, you’ll need a non-naughty number (that covers shoulders and ankles).
