Cosy Dolly Cottage in rugged, rural Ireland is a secluded hideaway in the middle of just about nowhere: seven acres to its name, a river down the road and a load of beaches nearby to explore. This snug and stylish self-catering property is the perfect place to hide out for a few days, with no TV or WiFi, and just long, late fireside chats to look forward to.

Bedrooms
The master bedroom has a king-size bed that was based on an Irish original design from 1918. This purple-hued room has a walnut floor, an armchair and a view of the surrounding countryside. There’s also a twin room, with two single beds, more walnut flooring and a glimpse of Killybegs in the distance. The pale blue bathroom has a freestanding tub, as well as a separate rain shower.

Kitchen
The kitchen in the open-plan living area has a Miele dishwasher, fridge and washing machine, as well a Belfast sink, five-ring ceramic hob, two ovens, a grill and Villeroy & Boch china. There’s a pink and oak dresser and chairs.

Along from the kitchen, there’s a living area set up around the fireplace, with two floral armchairs.

Eating and drinking
Catering is possible, with plenty of notice. A local chef called Arlene can be called in to prepare delicious meals, and be sure to book a batch of her soda bread.
Housekeeping
There’s none during your stay, but if you’d like a spruce-up, it costs €10 an hour.
Entertainment
Forget it: this is back to nature at its best. The closest look-in technology gets is a CD player couple of Irish music CDs.
