1694 House
Garden Route Winelands, South Africa
Style Cape Dutch classic
Setting Franschhoek farmland
1694 House on the Grande Provence estate is a ravishingly renovated family cottage, that’s stood proud on one of Franschhoek’s premier wine estates for the last 300 years. This is the only property on the wine farm that’s up for let, so you’ll feel like lord of the 30-hectare roost. Style doesn’t compromise on comfort – it’s got both by the bucketload. All meals are cooked to order (and perfection) by the in-house staff. As well as the luxury-laden house, gardens and pool, the estate’s also home to prime wine tasting and fine dining.
