Getting there
The hotel is in Shrewsbury centre, a five-minute walk from the English Bridge.
- Planes Birmingham International airport is 55 miles away from the hotel; there are usually plenty of taxis outside.
- Trains Shrewsbury station is less than a mile from the Lion & Pheasant. Hotel staff will book a taxi – just ask in advance.
- Automobiles Coming by car means that you can explore the surrounding villages and towns at your leisure. Telford is a 20-minute drive; Birmingham is around 50 minutes. The hotel has limited parking, but if all 10–15 spaces have been taken, guests can use the NCP car park opposite (£6 for 24 hours). The A5 and A49 are both within a five-minute radius of the town centre.
