Although it's not operated by the Diamant, popular Time to Vino winebar (www.timetovino.com) has taken up residence in the hotel's ground-floor corner space, serving up quaffable wine and a 'booze food' menu of quality bites.

- Top table Take a seat outside in the sun - the best spot to soak up the atmosphere and people-watch the street.
- Last orders Last orders for room service 'food to go' is at 8pm.
- Room service From 6–10pm, you can order fab fare from Time to Vino, such as crispy cuttlefish, a gourmet toastie with ham and truffled gruyere, and 'adult' ice-cream sundaes. When it comes to the vino, tell 'em what you like and they'll bring you a bottle quick-smart.
- Hotel bar As the Diamant is located in the heart of the Kings Cross, Potts Point and Darlinghurst triangle, packed with bars, restaurants and cafés, the trusted and gorgeous concierge can also recommend top area tips.

Courtyard Room 202 captures the most inspiring skyline view. Courtyard Suite 201 also boasts a great outlook, as well as a huge wrap-around terrace from which to enjoy it. Harbour Room 602 offers glimpses of the Harbour Bridge and water. However, the pièce de résistance has to be the Penthouse; contemporary luxury living with rock-star glamour overlooking the city's impressive skyline and harbour. It has three bedrooms and bathrooms, a powder room, gourmet kitchen, huge living and dining areas, two balconies and a butler on request. The space can also be hired out for parties and private dinners.
Packing tips
A variety of shoes for making the most of the area: stilettoes for flashy dining, chic flats for stylish clubs, flip-flops for the beach.
