The Guestbook
A really pretty and inspired hotel. The pool sunbathing area is lovely, and the staff are very attentive and polite. It’s located close to Pollensa old town, which is worth a trip. Il Giardino in the square is a lovely restaurant. The square does attract a lot of new parents with babies and pushchairs, which can detract from the ambiance – but it's nothing another glass of Ribera del Duero can’t fix.

What a fantastic hotel.

Whilst the food and stunning sea views from Un Piano nel Cielo (Casa Angelina's restaurant) are amazing, nearby restaurant La Strada is also worth a visit. Ask for a table outside on the terrace to make the most of the beautiful coastal scenery.

Other than the restaurant Strada in Praiano, there is another rustic option of La Brace for great grilled meat - especially lamb chops.
One can also hop on to the SITA bus and go to Positano for dinner - try Cambusso near the beach for fresh fish (ask to look, evaluate the options and then order the way you want it!) and Caffe Positano high up the Via Pasitea (next to the often recommended but crowded Da Vincenzo) which has splendid views from the outdoor terrace tables and has a very correct spaghetti alle vongole & entrecote alla griglia.
One has to absolutely visit Villa Cimbrone gardens for the infinity view in Ravello and take up the offer of a 10 % discount on the restaurant (on the tickets to visit the place) - Go for lunch - the food though slightly pricey keeping with the hotel on the premises, is a gastronomic delight!

Casa Angelina was everything it promised on the website and more. I normally opt for a more 'traditional' type of hotel but the contemporary style and cool white decor was beautiful. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and the location and views from the room were simply stunning. In fact, we loved it so much so that we are actually getting married there in July next year. We are being ably assisted in the organisation of the ceremony and accommodation by Casa Angelina and are really looking forward to what I am sure will prove an out-of-the-ordinary and extremely romantic day. In terms of recommendations: Vivaro in Praiano was a lovely little wine bar and we enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and tasty simple fare very much. In Positano Ristorante Max was excellent and Music on the Rocks was a fun evening out. The Casa Angelina restaurant, Un Piano nel Cielo was also notable and the view from the terrace added to the whole thing. Ravello is NOT to be missed and outside at Villa Maria was lovely with spectacular views.

We ate at restaurant called Il Pino which is a 200m walk from the Hotel, the food and service was excellent, better than many London Michelin starred restaurants and the price was very reasonable, approx 100 euro for two with a bottle of wine.

Dinner on the terrace at Il San Pietro is a must for some classic Italian glamour. Try to get there a little earlier for drinks on the terrace overlooking Positano – views are fantastic and service is very elegant.

Casa Angelina is the best hotel we have ever stayed in and have had real trouble booking to go somewhere else this year! The staff are fantastic and the hotel is modern but welcoming. We left eating in the hotel to the last night and wished we hadn't, although it was a lovely ending to an amazing holiday!

We loved the food in La Brace, at Via Gennaro Capriglione (+39 089 874226), the praiano pasta was delicious. Service was friendly and there was a lovely bustling atmosphere in the restaurant. Food and wine were reasonably priced. La Gavitella, at Via Gavitella (+39 089 8131319), also serves great lunch out on the terrace overlooking the beach. If you stay at Casa Angelina the restaurant provides sunloungers and towels on the beach for free.

You must try the restaurant oppposite the hotel – can't remember the name – ask reception to book you a table as it can get quite busy. Ask for a table on the verandah so you can enjoy views overlooking the Amalfi coastline – at night the lights around the coast twinkle, making your evening even more romantic! Traditional Italian food, great pizza!
