Best for: Pre-school play – babies and toddlers are welcome and well catered for.
Activities: When the sun is shining, Tetbury is teeming with outdoor activity – horse riding, paint balling and go-karting are great for the adventurous types. More suited to the younger kids, Cotswolds Farm Park (01451 850307) has its own ‘Touch Barn’, where visitors can get closer to the smaller animals. For rainy days, Fundays Play Barn (01451 822999) in Bourton-on-the-Water is an indoor play area designed for children aged 12 and under, with a special soft zone for little ones. While you’re in the area, stop off at the Bourton Model Railway (01451 820686) and the Cotswold Motoring Museum & Toy Collection (01451 821255) – a little boy’s dream.
Babysitting: A trusted local babysitting service is available on request.
No need to pack: The dining hall is equipped with two highchairs.
Also: Two cots are provided – the master suite has space for one in its adjoining dressing room. A toy box of baby and toddler gear is also supplied, as well as a PS2, Wii, and a game, DVD and book library to suit kids of all ages.
