You can do as little as you like or you can try out some adventurous outdoor activities such as abseiling, ballooning or paragliding – just ask the hotel to organise these for you. Alternatively, grab a classic read and head for the gardens and pool, to top up your tan.

Be lazy and have a picnic in the beautiful sprawling gardens, under the shade of the oak trees – ask the private chef to rustle up a lunch for you.

Best walks

Take your pick; the surrounding areas on the Lodge Ronda’s doorstep will tempt even the laziest guest to do some exploring. Alternatively, go for a mountain walk around the beautiful village of Grazalema. There are stunning views from the 1,350-metre Puerto de las Palomas (Pass of the Doves).

Activities

From the Lodge Ronda you can go horseback riding, paragliding, abseiling, fly in a hot air balloon, rent bicycles, drive a 4 x 4 track, go walking and visit new and old wineries. The winery situated in the 500 year old Trinitarian Convent of Los Descalzos Viejos at the edge of Ronda´s famous Tajo escarpment is well worth a visit.
