The Lodge Ronda’s modern milk-and-honey coloured guesthouse and spa is set in a 28-acre private estate, amid Andalucia’s sierras and gorges. The sister property to nearby La Fuenta de la Higuera offers luxury self-catering in dramatic surrounds, with lush gardens, Michelin-trained chefs and four-poster beds. The property sleeps 14 and is perfect for an idyllic get-away with family or friends.

Rates€6251 a week for the whole property for up to 14 guests, including a nine per cent discount but excluding tax at seven per cent. You can also add on a range of catering options, from ‘country’ (includes breakfast and one home-cooked meal per day, €34.50 a person), ‘deluxe’ (daily breakfast, afternoon coffee or tea and a daily changing three-course gourmet dinner, €49.50 a person) and ‘super deluxe’ (breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, the daily changing three-course gourmet dinner and all drinks, €97.50 a person).

Minimum hireYou can book a three-night stay or weekend break, except in December, when minimum stay is four nights.
Booking processSmith deposit taken when you book. To confirm a booking, a 30 per cent non-refundable payment is required and the remaining 70 per cent should be paid by bank transfer at least six weeks prior to arrival. For cancellations made between six weeks and seven days prior to the planned date of arrival, 70 per cent of the total cost will be charged. For cancellations made within the seven days prior to arrival, the full amount will be charged.

Grounds28 acres of greenery, sprinkled with a menagerie of horses, dogs, fish and a cat. Poolside trees mean you can alternate between sun and shade. Each bedroom also has its own private terrace or garden.
AlsoSmokers can light up on the outside terraces. If you want to bring pets, this can be arranged, as long as you’re happy for them to bed down in the great outdoors.

Eating and drinkingThe Michelin-trained private chefs will rustle up whatever you fancy in the open kitchen, using vegetables and herbs from the Lodge Ronda’s organic gardens, organic meat from local suppliers and fish fresh from the Andalucian coast. Friendly staff are on hand to serve up the chefs’ culinary creations.
