Rustic on the outside, thoroughly modern on the inside, this cute Ibizan farmhouse in Santa Gertrudis has been given a new lease of life as a hip holiday home. Mostly open-plan, with a separate annexed guest bedroom, this four-bedroomed finca has a suntrap of a swimming pool.

Eating and drinking
There's a charcoal barbecue which is crying out to be taken advantage of on those balmy nights.
Housekeeping
The villa is cleaned twice weekly, with fresh towels and sheets on Saturdays (which is also changeover day).
Entertainment
There's a simple iDock but not a massive soundsystem. There's a plasma TV with all your DVD trimmings too.
Eco policy
Reclaimed timber has been used where possible, the water is from a well, and the garden is green literally and environmentally as it's mature and preserved.

Children
Can Shana is best suited to older, responsible children as there's a staircase without banisters and unwalled terraces. There's a highchair and travel cot available and lots of things for kids to do. As well as the swimming pool, there's access to a a shared tennis court.
