Floor plan

  • Bedrooms

The bedrooms all have off-white walls, exposed beams and luxurious Savoir beds. The Gold Room on the ground floor blends French, Tudor and modern influences, with Cotswold stone walls, a pale gold chinoiserie canopy above the double bed, a wardrobe and a small ensuite shower room, decorated with cream granite tiles. The African room is a large double, with antique wood furniture and African art on the walls. The ensuite bathroom has a dark green roll-top bath and a striking mirror. The White Room is spacious and bright, and can be used as either a twin room or a large double. As the name suggests, the room is all white, apart from the leather sofas and an unusual, exotic coffee table. The beautiful crystal chandelier adds a splash of glamour, and the room has a simple ensuite bathroom. The Pink Room is a feminine double, with a pink crystal chandelier, pink coffee table books, petal-pink chinoiserie armchairs, an antique vanity set and an ornate mirror. The Blue Room is a large double, with wooden floors, decorative floor lamps, a white wooden and cane day bed and an ensuite shower.

  • Kitchen The open-plan kitchen is long and narrow, with exposed beams, white walls and sleek, stream-lined modern units. It’s a minimal, fuss-free and chic space, designed with functionality in mind. A long dining table, large reclaimed industrial lights, antique paintings, and a beautiful old wooden Balinese safe, which has been turned into an iPod dock decorate the room.
  • Living room The living room has a high ceiling, and two open-plan sitting areas, one with large French doors leading on to the courtyard garden, and the other with an open fire and a TV cleverly hidden within a mirror. Comfortable George Smith sofas and curved chairs in cosy chocolate browns and taupe are dotted around pieces of designer furniture, including a small dining table. Stairs lead from the living room to an open gallery, which has wireless internet and can be used as an office area.
  • Dining room The dining room is part of the open-plan kitchen. For al fresco dining, there is a beautiful courtyard area, with cane chairs and a round table.
  • Gardens The 14-acre gardens feature both manicured, landscaped sections and wild, romantic stretches.
