Little Ardara Front Street, Ardara, Ardara County Donegal IE

Little Ardara

County Donegal, Ireland

Style Hansel and Gretel cottage

Setting Ardara’s back yard

Thatched roof, red shutters, Smeg fridge – Little Ardara is decorated with the same attention to detail as its grown-up neighbour, Ardara House. A cute holiday cottage with style as well as substance; bed linen is crisp, pillows are plump, the bathroom is luxurious and guests will feel it’s their very own home from home right in the heart of the heritage town of Ardara.

Need to know

  • Rates information Two nights, €270; three nights, €325; four nights, €400; five nights, €475; six nights, €540; seven nights, €595. Anyone booking Little Ardara in addition to Ardara House gets 20 per cent off these rates.

  • Property style Compact cottage, which is the little sister to Ardara House. The property is simple but sweet, with all you need for a comfortable break.

  • Minimum hire Between July and September, there’s a seven-night minimum stay. During the rest of the year, it’s three nights.
  • Children This hotel is better suited to couples - leave the children at home!
  • Booking process 50 per cent due at the time of booking, the other 50 per cent is due six weeks before arrival. A €250 security deposit is blocked out on a card the day before arrival.

Floor plan

  • The cottage is open plan and spread across one level.

  • Bedrooms

A pretty bedroom is set above the cosy sitting room and open-plan kitchen.

  • Living room

It’s all open plan, but there’s a cosy living area with a sofa and fireplace.

  • Dining room

The check-clothed table in the kitchen area is a delightful spot for a cheery breakfast or lunch; add candlelight, stoke the fire and it’s also romantic as can be by night.
