Comments from members who've stayed at Borgo Santo Pietro

The truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth: the only people who can contribute to a hotel Guestbook are Smith members who have just stayed there, so everything you read below is honest-to-goodness fact. Borgo Santo Pietro5

We arrived at Borgo Santo Pietro on a dark rainy Friday afternoon, to be met in the car park by the receptionist with umbrellas and help to carry our bags. A huge log fire greated us as we stepped into the open reception room and we were quickly shown our room and brought a very welcome cup of tea with some biscotti. This very warm welcome set the tone for the time we spent in this truly lovely place. Fortunately the sun came out to play the next day and we were able to venture forth.

Two recommendations: The walk along the woodland path to San Galgano is well worth the time and effort and if you can then walk on up the hill to the little chapel where the sword is pushed into the rock, it completes the story, and offers wonderful views. If you have the opportunity to visit one of the many wineries in the area (the hotel will advise) then do so.  We had a wonderful stay at Borgo Santo Pietro and the staff truly cannot do enough to make your stay there magical.

This hotel was too luxurious, the food too glorious and the scenery too breathtaking to leave the hotel!

Wow – where do you start with this hotel? To call Borgo Santo Pietro just a hotel does it an injustice, as it is more of a luxurious country retreat set in beautiful Tuscan surroundings, with all the benefits of a first-class hotel. The food, service, friendly owners and especially the staff are first class. You can chill out each day by the infinity pool or go exploring around Tuscany – choose either and you will not be disappointed.
