Less is more at Can Beia, a pared-down private villa set a short drive from Ibiza Town and crystal-clear calas. Minimalist as it may be, there’s no scrimping on details – the window-framed kitchen is decked out with top-notch kit, and the poolside barbecue calls for alfresco suppers, scented by the pine- and lavender-lined grounds, after days out exploring the island. All ages will feel at home at this Balearic basecamp and, should the grown-ups want to sample the infamous Ibiza nightlife, babysitters can be called in for any little Smiths.
