Freewheeling filmmaker
Tony Ayres is an executive producer, showrunner, writer and director; his credits include the multi-award winning TV series Glitch, The Family Law, Wanted, and season two of Nowhere Boys, which won an International Emmy award in 2015. He also produced seasons one and three of Nowhere Boys, Barracuda and he was the showrunner of The Slap, which won awards at the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards and was nominated for BAFTA and Emmy awards. In 2015, he directed the feature film Cut Snake and his early features include Walking on Water, and The Home Song Stories. His upcoming projects include Seven Types of Ambiguity; the second seasons of Glitch, Wanted, The Family Law; and the feature film Ali’s Wedding.
