This 50sq m room at the end of the Barn Wing overlooks the countryside. It has an emperor-size bed, private terrace, walk-in double shower, freestanding bath and antique furniture.

A short stroll from the main hotel, the Stables is a standalone two-bedroom luxury villa. Designed by Bert & May, the light-filled interiors bring an urban edge to countryside living with exposed wood and stone fixtures, and stylish grey soft furnishings. The master bedroom has a king-size bed and sliding doors that open out onto a private garden with a seating and dining area. The second bedroom can be set up as twins or with a super king-size bed. The two rooms share a bathroom with a walk-in shower; there’s a second toilet by the kitchen. A room for all seasons, the living room has wood-burning fire for winter and floor-to-ceiling glass doors that open onto a sun-kissed courtyard overlooking surrounding countryside. There’s also a dining room and a fully-equipped kitchen so you can either choose to self-cater or the hotel’s chef can whip up meals for you. The villa also has air-conditioning, Ren bath products, and baby cots, highchairs and children’s toys can be arranged on request. Rates include breakfast, tea, coffee, soft drinks and beer if consumed in the Stables.
