  Fly directly to Malta’s only international airport – in the island’s central town of Lupa – where you can then take a 30-minute taxi north into Sliema.

• Automobiles

  If you don’t mind sitting in traffic jams, then a rental car is the way to go and can be a convenient way to get around; however, if you can, stick with taxis and walking as it’s likely to save you time and stress.
