Luxury holidays in Mahé

The largest and most populated of the Seychelles islands, Mahé is home to the country's capital, Victoria. Hike across the rugged Morne Seychellois National Park, which covers a fifth of the country and includes coastal mangrove forests and highlands, dive or snorkel with whale sharks, or wander around Le Jardin du Roi or the spice garden above Anse Royale. Or, if all that sounds far too active, just lie back andr catch the rays on the island’s white beaches: the west coast is one long stretch of almost too pretty sand. And then once the sun sets, settle in to sample rum at Takamaka Bay.

When to go

Daytime temperatures stay around the mid to high twenties throughout the year. You’ll see the most rain in December, January and February, but the sun’s still likely to shine at least a little each day.
