When to go

Saint Gervais’ ski season runs from mid-December to mid-April; guests who want to hike and enjoy the serenity of this spa town may want to visit during the warmer months of July and August.

Getting there

  • Planes

Fly straight into Geneva and catch a one-hour taxi (or two-hour train) to the resort; or land at Chambéry and drive for just over an hour to Saint Gervais.
  • Trains

If you’re looking for a more scenic route, catch the TGV high-speed train from Paris Gare de Lyon to Cluses, where you can hop in a taxi for half an hour to Saint Gervais.
  • Automobiles

No need to rent a car; bring your own wheels and drive from Calais to the resort in just under 10 hours. Once there, use the ease to your advantage and zip through the region’s rolling peaks to neighbouring ski-towns of Megeve, Les Contamines and Flaine.
