Luxury holidays in Luxor

Poised on the eastern banks of the Nile in southern Egypt, Luxor meets the expectations cast by its grand name, which comes from the Arabic for palaces. It was the site of Thebes, the ancient capital of the pharaohs at the peak of their power. While away afternoons at grand temples, archaeological sites and Tutankhamun’s tomb, before a felucca (sailboat) ride along the river or a browse in the vibrant bazaar.
