When to go

Peak season is July and August in Melides, but for months either side you’ll have sunny days and serene beaches.

Getting there

    Lisbon’s Humberto Delgado is the closest airport, about an hour’s drive away.

  • Trains

    Grândola is the closest station serving the region, a 30-minute drive away; trains arrive here direct from Lisbon’s Entrecampos station in just over an hour.

  • Automobiles

    Melides most charming bits are to be found far away from each other; this remote robustness is the bulk of its appeal, but it does mean you’ll need to hire a car.
