The Guestbook

A beautiful hotel. From check-in to check-out, the staff were wonderful. We stayed in Room 4; lovely, complete with a small balcony to catch the sun. The rooftop terrace is perfect. A late night drink to end the fab days we spent there. Breakfast was continental and delicious. We didn't get up to the rooftop as suggested for breakfast, it was far too hot. Unfortunately I had a day’s illness while there, they couldn't do enough for either my husband or myself. We will be back. Room Tip: Room 4 is lovely, not sure what the room number is next to the rooftop area, but I suspect it could get a bit noisy.

Good value boutique hotel, with great location in the old town. The roof terrace is very pretty and relaxing. As there is no restaurant, I would really recommend the Il Tartufo restaurant just around the corner on Calle Tetuan. Beautifully decorated little Italian restaurant run by a lovely welcoming couple. The cooking is genuine fresh Italian home-cooking. We went back three times.

....we stayed at the townhouse in marbella mid september and I have to say the staff went out of their way to make us feel so very welcome. It is a beautiful, beautiful boutique hotel, tastefully decorated in an excellent location in Old Town. It is in easy walking distance of the beach and some fabulous restaurants without being in the thick of it. The townhouse has a fab feel to it, Marbella is worth the trip if only to stay there for a few days.

This hotel is well located but the rooms are quite basic. The best aspects are the breakfast buffet which is really good and the roof terrace which has great views of the Old Town. We had an exceptional meal at Zozoi which is 5 minutes walk from the hotel in the Old Town. The best two tapas bars were, firstly: La Taberna Del Pintxo‎ which is 5-10 minutes walk from the hotel. Here you don't order tapas but the staff carry around large freshly cooked plates of tapas every few minutes and you pick what you want. Helpful if your Spanish is limited (most of the staff speak some English as well). Great food and service. And secondly: Bodega La Venencia, on the same street as Pintxo and very popular with locals. Great tapas though the staff are all over worked and moody – still worth it though.

Top tip for anyone staying in our around Malaga – Restaurant Vino Mio on Calle Alamos. Excellent quality tapas and meals in a chilled atmosphere. The style of food is international fusion. They cook from an open kitchen using first-class ingredients. You can order a plate to share, tapas or a full dinner – your choice. Staff are young and very friendly. English spoken too! Great selection of well priced wines. We went on a Monday evening when there was a flamenco guitarist and dancer – on Tuesday they play jazz – there's something happening every night. Great place, great food, great atmosphere!

Couldn't have wished for a better November weekend break. The Town House is perfect and staff are really attentive and helpful. The manager picked out fantastic restaurants for every night of our stay – best was a seafood restaurant two minutes from the hotel, swarming with locals and housing the saltiest prawns and best razor clams in Marbella! Ask the staff for directions. Spent most of our mornings basking in the 27ºC heat on the lovely terrace in the hotel, and most of the afternoons on the beach, a whole five-minutes walk from the hotel – heaven!
