The Guestbook

Fabulous hotel. Really came up to expectations. Stayed in Elizabeth and David suite, which was just lovely. No hesitation in staying there again.

We had an amazing stay at The Grove in Narberth, it was so welcoming we found it hard to leave the hotel, but I'm glad we did! The surrounding countryside is some of the most beautiful I have ever seen, not to mention the coastline. Spend a couple of hours horse-riding with Nolton Stables a couple miles down the road, they took us out on our own and we rode down to Druids beach for a trot in the surf. A trudly idyllic experience as we had the whole beach to ourselves, something I will never forget!

Lovely stay. Had our two-year old with us and were made to feel welcome by staff which was great. John Seddon room was amazing as was the bath! Wow! Great food and wine list and a very professional outfit. Cosy log fires and hazy countryside made for a toasty time. Spent a fortune in Narbeth nearby – fantastic goodies for Christmas in plenty of unusual shops.

The Golden Sheaf in Narberth town centre is a delightful shop, especially for unique pieces of jewellry.

More of a restaurant with rooms, than a hotel with facilities. However this is one of those happy coincidences that Mr and Mrs Smith keep introducing us to.

We wanted to live for a couple of nights in a Georgian Manor house, but were completely unprepared for the sumptuous, culinary delights the kitchen quietly boasted. The fact the dining room is split over 3 parlours only adds to the quirkiness of the experience. The quality of the food is easily the best we've ever tasted (ok, Bouchon in Santa Barbara is on a par with it), and we're contemplating an over night stay soon just to eat there again.

Serendipitously, Narberth (about 20 minute walk from The Grove) also has an amazing tapas bar and deli.

Stay at The Grove. If you don't, all your friends will and you feel really left out.

Go to Ultracomida delicatessen, High Street, Narberth (+44 (0)1834 861491). This fantastic Spanish delicatessen stocks an amazing range of Spanish wines and delicacies such as cheeses and meats, including a particularly good chorizo. They also have a wide range of Welsh cheeses on offer- try the Perl Las. They make delicious sandwiches for takeaway or if you prefer, find your way to the cafe bar at the back, where you can indulge in good coffee, Spanish hot chocolate, delicious cakes or mouthwatering Spanish cuisine. This little gem is also open for for tapas on Friday nights; book ahead though as it is always busy.
