The Guestbook

If you love Mexican food then we can recommend Tropisueno (www.tropisueno.com) on Yerba Buena Lane around the corner from the hotel. The restaurant is a taquería during the day and a full service restaurant at night. At lunchtime you view the giant floor to ceiling menu in the entrance, go to the counter and order your food, take a number and pay. The food is then brought to you and you help yourself to a wonderful range of salsa and other condiments, and yes there is a bar too serving margaritas and Mexican beer. You really should try the super burrito with carnitas, just make sure you are hungry.

Great place. Wonderful view from the bedroom. Great design – despite the current trend for the bathroom to be within the bedroom, because luckily one could close some folding doors for more privacy, and the loo was slightly set to the side, preserving a degree of modesty. Staff were helpful if a little earnest/serious – but that could be due to nuances of language difference, that one doesn't expect but ought to. We would certainly return.
