The Guestbook

Wow! I felt as though I had been beamed back in time. Packed with charm and character, this place was a welcome surprise – the service was top-notch, the room was, well, just out of this world and when I phoned down for an iron, I was told they would iron my shirt and trousers for me.  Loved the place and I will most certainly be back.

San Domenico House was delightful in many ways. Italy in London - with staff completely Italian and unable to communicate in English, we felt as though we really were on holiday in our own city!

The room was quite miniature despite being billed as one of the most expensive 'suites', but charmingly decorated and such a change from all those places that have uniformity and a kit-form approach to furnishing. The bed was a little on the small side - and we are not large people - but it was comfortable and delightfully draped in swags and flourishes.

Great to have a bath and a shower, in a very smart black and creamy yellow bathroom.

All completely delightful, really - just a shame that the price prohibits one from taking a home-from-home holiday there regularly!

One of the good things about this hotel, or rather guest house, is its location. Sloane square and the King's Rd with all that they have to offer are around the corner. The Chelsea Brasserie was good for a light pre concert supper and would be ideal for something more 'full blown' though, as with many establishements in this sort of location, you have to struggle past gangs of wine swigging fag puffing customers to get in, but its well worth it.
