Worth getting out of bed for
If you’re a golfer, this is the place for you: there are two courses nearby, and a total of 43 within an hour’s drive. Skiing is the other big draw; hit the piste either 700m away, or go for the year-round option on the Kitzsteinhorn glacier. The region is also home to the Krimml waterfalls (Europe’s biggest, no less), and a series of ice caves in Werfen.
