Getting there
Lying lazily by the banks of the Wollondilly River on the southern edge of the World Heritage listed Blue Mountains National Park, the Luxury Swag Camp is a truly opulent haven tucked amid dramatic bushland surrounds.
- Planes Sydney Airport (www.sydneyairport.com.au) is Australia’s busiest with international and domestic flights arriving and departing daily. Hail a cab or take the train into central Sydney where you will be met by a guide who will escort you on the two-hour drive to the camp.
- Automobiles Your guide will collect you from the centre of Sydney. The drive to the southern Blue Mountains takes less than two hours. Alternatively you can hire a car from one of the major car rental companies at Sydney Airport and meander along the picturesque westward drive at your own pace. A rustic little vineyard near Bowral serves as a rendez-vous point where you will be met by your guide and treated to a wine tasting before making tracks for camp.
- Others Helicopter is by far the quickest, and most scenic, way of getting to the swag camp. A driver will pick you up from central Sydney to join your pilot at Bankstown Airport for departure. The flight is approximately 45 minutes and takes in Sydney’s west and the Heritage listed wilderness beyond.
