Away from bustling Sydney’s CBD, Jonah’s is a short 50-minutes north of the Harbour Bridge, perched on a seaside precipice overlooking sparkling Whale Beach at Pittwater.
- Planes The nearest airport is Sydney International Airport (www.sydneyairport.com.au), about 50km from Jonah’s. It is serviced daily by a wide selection of national and international carriers. From Sydney the easiest way to get to Jonah’s is with a hire car, readily available from the many car hire companies situated at the airport.
- Trains Pymble Train Station (www.cityrail.com.au; 131 500) is 20km from Jonah’s. Take the North Shore and Western Line from the city centre. Guests coming from Sydney Airport will need to transfer to the North Shore and Western Line at Central, Town Hall, or Wynyard stations. From Pymble Station you can take a taxi to Jonah’s.
- Automobiles You can hire a car or take a taxi from Sydney Airport. Jonah’s is a scenic 50-minute drive north from the CBD, taking in Sydney’s famed Northern Beaches and National Parklands. However, parking at the hotel is limited and the available street parking is metered. It is also possible to take the L90 bus (www.sydneybuses.info; 131 500) from central Sydney to Jonah’s.

Take off from exclusive waterside enclave Rose Bay, soaring over Sydney’s cityscape and seafront, before gliding along the white sands and sapphire waters of the Northern Beaches. The 12-minute flight takes in Barrenjoey Lighthouse and Broken Bay before circling back to Palm Beach to land at Pittwater where a car will be waiting to whisk you up to Jonah’s.
