Getting there
- Planes Rome Fiumicino is roughly 50 minutes from Hotel de Russie; on public transport, take the Leonardo Express (www.trenitalia.com), which will get you to Termini in half an hour. A taxi from there to the hotel will take 10 minutes, or it's four stops on the metro to Flaminio. A taxi straight from the airport will cost €40 plus €1 per bag. From Ciampino Airport, the drive to the hotel should take half an hour. Terravision (www.terravision.eu) runs transfers to Termini train station, where you can proceed by metro or taxi.
- Trains Hotel de Russie is 500m from the Flaminio metro station (line A). From here, it's three stops to the Vatican or four stops to Termini, Rome’s main station, which is serviced by many lines connecting to other regions of Italy; see Trenitalia (www.trenitalia.com) for details.
- Automobiles Given its central location, this hotel’s valet parking service is a blessing; it is also just outside the restricted zone that covers most of the city centre. When you enter Rome, follow signs to Piazza del Popolo or Villa Borghese.
