Hôtel de la Paix Cha-Am Beach
Overview
At first Hotel Cha-Am may seem a tad trendy for smudgy fingers, but children are welcome. Baby cots and high chairs are provided free of charge, and extra beds for older kids (THB1,925) and babysitting (THB300 an hour) can be arranged.
Best for
Younger kids from about age five to eight years old (older children might get bored).
Recommended rooms
All rooms are spacious enough to accommodate an extra bed (for THB1,950 a night) or a free baby cot. The pool villas, however, have an area that can be partitioned off to create a second bedroom or nursery if you prefer a little more privacy.
Activities
Swimming in the pool, flying kites on the beach, games in the library. Many of the activities that can be organised by the Leisure Concierge – elephant trekking, horse riding, mountain biking – can also be tailored to suit smaller members of the clan.
Swimming pool
There is a dedicated family pool at the beachfront with flotation devices and arm bands available for tots who need them.
Meals
A children’s menu is served and kids are welcome at the hotel's restaurants (café-style Motion is ideal for daytime munchies). Staff members are happy to heat up milk and baby food, or pack lunches for excursions that take you away from the resort for the day.
Babysitting
Babysitting is available for THB300 an hour, but needs to be organised when you book your stay.
No need to pack
Baby cots and high chairs are provided free of charge.
