The Guestbook
Beautiful hotel. The rooms are not big but the property and facilities are excellent. We ate in the both hotel restaurants and thought both were very good. The hotel offers 2 mountain bikes to guests free of charge which I would definitely recommend you take advantage off as this is a great way to see the city.
Do not even attempt to find this hotel by yourself...the hotel kindly sent a bellman to meet us on the main road to guide us in.
The Spanish omelette and chrizo in Bar Santos is worth stopping for.

Hospes Palacio de Baiio is a fantastic hotel! Really it is a tourist destination in its own right, as it contains genuine, usable Roman baths underneath the modern spa, mosaics, frescoes and Roman foundations which can be seen underneath the clear floor of the stylish restaurant. With so much history all around us, we didn't feel too guilty about spending most of our holiday lounging around the pool and strolling among the orange groves in the sheltered courtyards. However, when we did make it down to Córdoba old town, we enjoyed a caña of cerveza most nights in a beautiful taberna in the Jewish quarter called Taberna Casa Pepe de la Juderia (+34 957 200 766) and enjoyed fine tapas and cold fino amongst the locals at Taberna Casa Bravo (+34 957 292 979), a friendly and genuine taberna with photos and posters from bullfights around its ancient walls.
