Explore the Cape Winelands and rove from vine to vine through the gorgeous countryside between Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl; the R45 provides one drink-it-all-in vineyard vista after another as you cross the Franschhoek Pass. Try before you buy at Thelema Mountain Vineyards or Grande Provence; the region is particularly renowned for its cabernet sauvignon, chardonnay and chenin blanc.
