Need to know
Couples need to book all 11 of the hacienda’s room to hold a ceremony at the hotel. A dedicated wedding coordinator helps arrange music, photography, cake and decorations, although you will have to negotiate with suppliers yourselves. Although the hotel can host weddings throughout the year, November to February are the optimum months weather-wise. For a legal ceremony, both bride and groom must arrange for a Mexican judge to preside, and have blood tests in Mérida fewer than 15 days beforehand. If you wish to have a Catholic wedding in Santa Rosa’s church next to the hacienda, birth certificates, baptism certificates and a letter from your home minister should be sent to the Bishop of Mérida at least two weeks beforehand.
