Gaia Retreat & Spa is located 20-minutes inland from Byron Bay amongst the green hills and valleys near the Brooklet township.
- Planes The Ballina Byron Gateway Airport (www.ballina.info/airport) is 20 minutes from Gaia. It’s serviced daily by Jetstar (www.jetstar.com; 131 538), Rex (www.regionalexpress.com.au; 13 17 13) and Virgin Australia (www.virginaustralia.com; 13 67 89). Hotel transfers are included in most packages but if your package is non-inclusive you can hire a car at the airport or take a taxi.
- Automobiles Most packages at Gaia include return airport transfers and exclusive luxury limousines can be booked for an additional charge. Alternatively if you have a car the 20-minute drive to Gaia takes in serene surrounds and is easy to navigate. Head north along the Pacific Highway from Ballina, turn off at Tintenbar, turn left onto Fernleigh Road and head north driving though Brooklet until you reach the Gaia property.
